Open a ticket and add products
How to start a sale at a table or at the counter and add products with a tap, a search or the scanner.
Open a ticket
In hospitality, tap a table on the Floor Plan: its ticket opens. If the table already has several tickets, you choose which one.
For a sale without a table (bar, takeaway or shop), open the sales screen and start adding products: TPVStream creates a Direct ticket.
A direct ticket you leave without taking payment is cancelled. To put it on hold, assign it to a table or a client.
Add products
There are several ways to add a product to the ticket:
- With a tap: open a category and tap the product. Each tap adds one unit.
- With search: tap Search and type part of the name.
- With the barcode scanner: scan the product on the sales screen.
- Frequent: this tab shows your best-selling products.
If the product has variations (size, format) or modifiers (cooking, sauces), a window opens to choose. See Variations and modifiers.
Items not on the menu
To sell something that isn't on the menu, use Add Custom Item in the ticket actions, or the Misc keypad under the ticket: type the amount and a "Misc" line is added.
Products sold by weight
Products sold by weight open the weighing window: the scale sends the weight or you type it, and the price is calculated automatically. See Scale.
