Cash count and differences
Count notes and coins, compare with the expected cash and explain differences.
Before the Z closure, TPVStream asks you to count the cash in the drawer.
Count the cash
- In the closure, tap Count bills and coins.
- For each value (€50, €20, €10… 1 cent), type how many you have.
- TPVStream calculates the Counted amount.
You can also type the counted total directly.
Expected, counted and difference
| Line | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Initial Amount | The float from the opening |
| Expected | Initial + cash sales + cash in − cash out − change |
| Counted | What you counted |
| Difference | Counted − expected |
If the difference is zero, the till is Balanced.
Explain a difference
If money is missing or there's too much, TPVStream asks for a reason before closing, for example:
- Unlogged cash out: a supplier was paid without recording it.
- Unpaid sale.
The reason stays in the Z report so you can review it.
Recurring differences usually come from forgotten cash outs. Always record them with Cash Movement.
