Restore a backup and change devices
Recover your data after a breakdown or move it to a new tablet or PC.
Restore on the same device
- Open Settings › Backup Manager.
- Choose the Local or Cloud tab and the backup.
- Tap Restore and confirm.
Settings (products, rooms, printers, preferences) go back to the backup's state. More recent tickets, invoices, clients and closures are kept. A backup of the current state is saved first.
Move to a new device
With the cloud, moving is simple:
- On the old device, do the Z closure and a manual Cloud Backup.
- Install TPVStream on the new device and choose Main Station.
- Sign in with your account and tap Request transfer on your licence. See Licence and account.
- TPVStream finds your cloud backups: pick the latest and tap Download & Restore.
Then reconnect the satellites to the new main register.
Without the cloud
From the Android Backup Manager you can download or share a backup and take it to the new device. If in doubt, contact support: we help you move.
Don't use two main registers at the same time with the same licence and data: you'd end up with two different records.
