Import products and categories from CSV

If your menu is already in Excel or another POS, there's no need to type it in by hand.

1. Prepare the file

1. Open Settings › Categories and tap CSV Import.
2. Choose what to import: Categories or Products.
3. Download the Example CSV to see the expected columns.
4. Fill it in with Excel or Google Sheets and save it as CSV.

2. Import

1. Drag the file in or tap to select it.
2. Check the options: Delimiter (comma or semicolon), Encoding and Skip Header.
3. Check the Data Preview and the column mapping.
4. Tick Update existing products to change existing products instead of duplicating them.
5. Tap Start import.

When it's done, TPVStream tells you how many items were imported.

Export your products

Export Products creates a CSV with your current menu: useful as a copy or to change many prices in Excel and import them again.
