Install TPVStream on Windows
Download, install and open TPVStream on a Windows PC or touchscreen POS.
This guide is for a PC, laptop or all-in-one POS running Windows 10 or 11.
Install
- Open the Download page on the PC where you will install TPVStream.
- Click Download for Windows and save the installer.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installer steps.
- When it's done, open TPVStream from the desktop or the Start menu.
If Windows shows a security warning when opening the installer, click More info, then Run anyway.
First launch
The first time, the setup wizard opens. There you choose whether this PC will be the main register or a satellite. Follow the Initial setup guide.
Windows firewall
If you will connect satellites, Windows may ask whether TPVStream can communicate on the network. Tick Private networks and click Allow access. Without this permission, the other devices won't find the main register.
Tips for the register PC
- Turn off automatic sleep so the register is always available.
- Plug in the printer before setting it up in TPVStream.
- On touchscreens, turn on TPVStream's Virtual Keyboard in Settings if you'd rather not use the Windows one.
